One study covering multiple countries, including the United States, touts the median income of project managers as $90,000 annually and those holding a PMI certification make $10,000 more annually, than their counterparts without a PMI certification (Swanson, 2010). Such salary dispersion would suggest that certified project managers are more successful than those who are not certified.
